SmartPayments™ Server comes in three editions:

  • Standard Edition
  • Enterprise Edition x32 for 32 bit operating system
  • Enterprise Edition x64 for 64 bit operating system

The Standard Edition is recommended for those who have only one merchant account (commonly used as an in-store controller). The Enterprise Editions are designed with high availablity, high reliability and security, and are recommended for payment gateway, ISO and merchants with multiple locations.

  • *SmartPayments™ Server (Standard or Enterprise Editions) does not limit the number of connections or threads. However, since Standard Edition can only be installed on a single CPU server and connect to a local SQL Server database, there will be physical limitations based on your network and hardware configuration. If this is an issue, consider the Enterprise Edition, which you can scale on multiple servers and networks.
  • **Standard Edition supports a maximum of 5 Merchant ID’s. If you need more than 5 Merchant ID’s, the Enterprise Edition is required.
  • Prior to installation, server hardware should be approved by TPI Software.
  • A license is made up of all base and desired add-on components. Enterprise and Standard Edition are licensed per server/CPU.
